Hidalgo Ayala has extensive experience in the meetings industry, having been in charge of different projects for the past 12 years, heading for 6 years the attraction of national and international events for the city of Monterrey from the Monterrey Convention and Visitors Bureau.
He was also in charge of the International Candidatures area in the Mexico Tourism BoardHe was responsible for working with all Mexican destinations in attracting international events.
In 2013 he was appointed general director of the Yucatan Convention and Convention Bureau, from where he contributed to the repositioning of this entity as a meetings destination.
In 2015, Reed Exhibitions chooses him to lead the establishment of its IBTM brand in Latin America from Mexico and to spearhead the construction of its flagship IBTM event in Mexico.
In 2017, the creation of the IBTM AmericasThe first global event for the meetings industry outside Europe and the United States, establishing its headquarters in Mexico City, contributing to the consolidation of meetings tourism in Mexico and Latin America.
During his career, Hidalgo Ayala has received the HEEL, Angel of Tourism and Worldwide Board Award from Reed Exhibitions.
He is currently president of the MICE Segment of the Mexican Travel Agencies Agency in Mexico City.
