In the first action item of the Innovation and technological-scientific trends axis, the Ministry of Economy highlights the promotion of the production of zero-emission vehicles, both electric and green hydrogen, in order to boost the energy transition.

In the Sustainable and sustainable industries axis, the plan adds more action points to achieve the objective:

  1. To work so that by 2030, 50 percent of the cars produced in Mexico will use zero-emission technology.
  2. Increase production of electric vehicles for public transportation and freight transportation.
  3. Develop the infrastructure of electric vehicle recharging stations (electric charging stations), prioritizing the participation of Mexican companies.
